Storytelling to Convert Part II

I have committed to learning how to be an excellent storyteller. I am also committed to sharing what I learn with you, especially when talking about storytelling to convert.

I discussed what I had learned in the month of January. This month I listened to this podcast. In the podcast, Cayla Craft–The Mommy Millionaire, she discusses how to tell a story effectively. I noticed almost immediately what I was missing in my own storytelling.

Craft discusses two important things when storytelling: 1. know what type of story you are telling: origin, vision, company, or other. 2. Your story should have four parts, a hero, obstacle, crossroads, and the moral of the story. I realized that I was missing the obstacle and crossroads part of any story shared. I would discuss either/or but not both.

When I connected that and implemented—took action—I noticed growth in my Instagram following! In the video below, I discuss putting Cayla Craft’s storytelling practice and the information from Storytelling to convert part I together to get awesome and lasting results.

Have you heard of these techniques before? What techniques do you use that gives you the best results?
