Who is Jesus? Day Two
Who is Jesus? Savior
Have you ever heard someone reference Jesus? Did you think: I know him, or I have heard about him before. Did you think “oh, not this again!”? I hope not the last one, but if so, I am so glad you are here.
Jesus is the Son of God. He was sent from Heaven to reconcile the relationship between us and God. When Adam and Eve ate the fruit in the garden, humans became separated from God by sin. Many years later, Jesus was birthed by Mary. He is the gift given by God to be the sacrifice taking place of our sins and becoming the bridge between us (humans) and God.
As the sacrifice, Jesus became the Savior. He was sent into the world not to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Jesus is more than the link between Heaven and Earth, He is the link between God and our hearts. Jesus is Christ. When Jesus died on the cross he bridged the gap between us and God. God wants to have an intimate relationship with the creatures he lovingly created so much he sent his only Son to die for us. Jesus’ death gives us an open invite to have a relationship with him and God.
Question for the day:
It is hard to comprehend that the love God has for us is greater than the love we have for our kids. With that amount of love in mind, have you taken up Jesus’ offer? Do you have a relationship with Jesus? If so, do you desire to be closer? If not, would you like one?
